Why are the activities called Learning Adventures?

According to Merriam-Webster, an adventure is defined as an exciting or remarkable experience. Life Prep ELC prefers the phrase “learning adventures” because we strategically design our lessons and activities so that our students develop a love for learning. Learning is supposed to be fun, so we ensure that learning is fun. Our educators spend countless hours preparing and practicing the most effective way to deliver information to our students. Implementation of each adventure is an experience. As long as we are having fun, learning goes undetected. In the words of the late Helen Keller,“Life is a daring adventure or nothing!”

Are all Life Prep ELC staff members certified in CPR and First Aid?

Absolutely! Each staff member is required to be CPR/First Aid/AED certified for Adults and Children within 45 days of employment. They are responsible for their continued active certification throughout the duration of employment.

Once my child is registered, will I be able to visit at any time?

While we do have an open door policy, COVID has limited the amount of allowable traffic during school hours. If observation becomes necessary, we can discuss a creative way to address the pending concern. When standard observations resume, please ensure that you observe without interruption. That way, all students are able to remain focused and engaged on the task at hand.

Is there a written daily schedule that includes active play, quiet play, rest time, and snacks?

Yes. Absolutely!Life Prep Adventures

Is TV viewing limited to short times and appropriate programming?

Life Prep ELC has so many ways to engage our students and none of them include actual “TV” time. However, from time to time, we will access the internet for some technological adventures but those are minimal.

Is there a pediatrician or a nurse who serves as a consultant for the program?

Life Prep ELC currently consults with a Family Practice, Nurse Practitioner, who is very easily accessible for immediate information that is of non-emergency concern. If your child is having a medical emergency that warrants a 911 call, please understand that safety comes first. We will graciously request the services of 911.

Is there a way I can donate to Life Prep Early Learning Center?

Absolutely. Please use this link to visit our wish-list.
