At the tender age of 17, I was able to earn my teaching certification by graduating from a Vocational-Technical High School in 2005. Upon graduating, I pursued a career as an early childhood educator. My 17 plus years of experience range from nannying, professional babysitting, and toddler, preschool/pre-k teacher.
My interests beyond the classroom include writing, (I am a published writer), music of all sorts, trying new foods, and painting. With no children of my own as of yet, I am a mom to 2 cats who keep me on my tippy toes. What led me to Life Prep ELC, was the opportunity to grow, be supported and evolve as an educator. All my life, my passion and drive has been in child care. I believe children are the essence that makes life so sweet. Being in the presence of children and in a teaching environment, I feel like my best self.

Greetings! My name is Aliyah Brooks (24 YO). My favorite things to do are eat delicious foods, visit amusement parks and swim. I've been working with children for a few years now. My love for children started back in middle school when I would help out the kindergarten and preschool teachers with their classed .It was such a thrill for me! I enjoy being with the really young ones as I am the youngest of my siblings. I like guiding them through the day and learning how to develop and nurture their minds. I am happy to be at Life Prep, having an opportunity to grow at my own pace. I look forward to seeing where the future takes me!
